I am looking for someone to design a tree of life for me. I am getting it on my upper back. I am also going to either get my name and My wifes name carved in the trunk of the tree with a heart in the middle or just the first letter of our names with a heart in the middle. I want the letters in Japanese. I have some clip art of the tree as well as the heart design,for ideas. Anyone out there that can please help me get this design together please let me know. Here are the images I have now.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to get the tattoo In new orleans La. My wife and I are going to New orleans for a weeks for our anniversary. I would like to get the tattoo designed before I get to a tattoo shop because I know what Im looking for cant be designed In a Hr or so. Also I know there are a lot of Tattoo shops In new orleans but have no idea which one is the best. I found a website on the net that will design and email me the tattoo but they want over 300.00 just to design it for me. I dont mind paying someone to help me design it but I was thinking over 300.00 was a little high as Im thinking the tattoo its self will run me 300.00 or more! My wife is getting a tat as well so I really didnt want to spend over 1,000.00 on tattoos! Anyone know of a great tattoo shop In new orleans please let me know,Also if you or anyone else can help me design this thing please let me know. I dont mind paying

Find your artist and set up your appointments before you go. Have the artist do the design of it. That is part of their job.

Just a note on your last post you said you don’t want to spend a $1000 on tattoos. well I would say that is about how much they are going to cost to get them done decently. That really isn’t that bad you will probably spend more on your hotel and your not bringing that home with you.

buttwheat is correct, you need a grand, and the only way to get custom artwork done is to let your artist design the piece with your input, you need to find the artist whose work you are comfortable with and go spend whatever time is neccessary to get this right, good luck, tree of life can kake a very nice tattoo

Cost shouldn’t be an issue when considering a permanent modification to your body. A cheap and nasty tattoo is just as permanent as an expensive and beautiful one.
